Peter Barnett

Peter is a lawyer and founder of Birch Point Partners, a legal consultancy advising ambitious organisations at the intersection of law, finance and climate change. 

Peter earlier led legal and governance programmes building climate resilience at Quadrature Climate Foundation. Before that, Peter spent six years at legal non-profit ClientEarth, building and leading its team in Japan and Southeast Asia and earlier bringing corporate climate litigation in Europe. His work has been ranked in FT Innovative Lawyers and featured in the Financial Times, Economist and elsewhere. Peter earlier specialised in complex corporate and financial dispute resolution at leading law firms in London and New Zealand. He frequently speaks and writes on the role of law in driving climate action.
