Climate law, environmental peace-building
Sophie supports the legal team across its workstreams by contributing to substantive research, drafting and analysis. She assists in the development and implementation of ambitious, effective, climate-focused legal strategies.
Prior to joining OG, Sophie worked at UNEP in the Environmental Security Unit for Somalia, where she focused on strengthening climate, peace and security initiatives through environmental governance and institutional capacity building. She brings experience in complex legal research, policy analysis and working in politically sensitive and fragile contexts. Sophie holds a Bachelor of Laws and an LLM in Environmental Law and Policy. While studying, she volunteered with ClientEarth’s Law, Finance and Systems Change research clinic.
