
Borana is an international finance professional with extensive experience in the nonprofit sector and UN agencies. She holds a Master of Science in Accounting and a Master’s in European Union Affairs and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK).
Her career spans national NGOs in Albania, UNDP Albania, international foundations in the Netherlands, France, and the United Kingdom, as well as the UNFPA Representation Office in Brussels. She also lectures part-time at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Economics.
Borana is passionate about supporting nonprofits and charities to reach their full potential by strengthening financial systems, transparency, and accountability, while keeping mission at the centre. She has significant experience delivering training to nonprofit leaders and is the founder of NGO Finance Hub, a social consulting initiative supporting organisations worldwide in building financial resilience.
