With OG since: January 2026
“I’m delighted to be joining Opportunity Green as a young, ambitious and fast-growing organisation which acts upon the levers of policy, law, economics, which have the potential to effect genuinely systemic change. I am excited to channel my experience in multilateral environmental decision-making processes into supporting ambitious international climate policy development with OG’s Climate Diplomacy Team.”
Multilateral negotiation and consultation processes, especially the fields of biodiversity and nature-based solutions
It’s Maudie’s role to support OG’s partner countries and other stakeholders through research and analysis, briefings and knowledge enhancement, in order to strengthen outcomes from international climate negotiations. She builds and manages relationships with key government and civil society stakeholders and represents OG at events and with stakeholders. In her work with climate vulnerable countries, she designs and deliver knowledge and capacity building and upskilling activities to overcome knowledge gaps which could hamper ambitious policy development.
Maudie studied an MSc in Environment, Politics and Development. She worked at UNEP for four years, where she started in a role in the Global Peatlands Initiative, then moved into Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and One Health. Here, she lead the NbS team, acting as head of the interim secretariat for the Kunming Biodiversity Fund, a new multi-partner trust fund for biodiversity co-chaired by UNEP and China.
