As a Legal Manager at Opportunity Green, Thais is focused on identifying and developing legal actions to support decarbonisation of the steel sector. Her work includes holding corporations to account for their delay in adopting climate-aligned emissions targets and challenging their harmful practices.
Prior to joining OG, Thais worked on cross-border ESG and climate litigation, taking on major corporations in cases involving environmental misconduct and human rights violations. She has also conducted research on climate law cases related to GHG emissions and deforestation in the Global South. Thais is a dual-qualified solicitor (E&W and Brazil) and a member of the UK Environmental Law Association.
