Matilde joined Opportunity Green in 2026 as Legal Policy Manager, based in Brussels. She works at the intersection of OG’s legal and advocacy teams, turning complex legal analysis into advocacy tools and engaging directly with EU institutions and NGO partners to influence aviation decarbonisation. Her work focuses on the review and proposed expansion of the EU Emissions Trading System for aviation.
Before joining OG, Matilde practised as a lawyer in Italy and Brussels, advising on regulatory, competition and commercial matters with a focus on EU environmental and sustainability policy. She brings experience across the transport sector, particularly aviation, including emissions-related policy such as the EU ETS and wider EU climate and transport legislation. She also worked at Transparency International EU on anti-corruption policy, whistleblower protection and asset recovery, engaging with EU institutions and civil society.
