Vacancies Our team

Our mission

Our mission is to close the gaps in global climate action. To achieve this, Opportunity Green has two objectives in its strategy:

  1. To continue to have impact by reducing climate change and climate change impacts.
  2. To continue to be a great place to work where great staff are valued and treated well.

We take our second objective as seriously as the first, and we are proud to have been recognised as an Employer of the Year in the 2025 Global Good Awards.

Opportunity Green is committed to ensuring equality and inclusion in our working and hiring practices to support fair representation. We are serious about creating a working environment where everyone has an equal opportunity to fulfil their potential. To do that, we have a range of policies and benefits to create this environment and support our team.

Our values

Honesty

  • We own up to mistakes and learn from them.
  • We are honest about the climate crisis.

Good governance

  • We follow agreed internal policies and processes but always seek opportunities to improve our ways of working.
  • We take shared responsibility for transparent, ethical and values-led decision-making, including using our resources and funds responsibly.

Brave

  • We are dedicated to stopping climate change and using our professional skills to achieve OG’s mission, often in the face of a challenging world context.
  • We constructively challenge assumptions or systems in service of climate justice and push the bar for increased levels of action.

Reliable

  • We exercise initiative in our work and in pursuit of OG’s mission more broadly.
  • We respect others’ time, clearly communicate our availability, and are upfront about our capacity and limits.

Cooperative

  • We will work together internally and externally to achieve our mission and goals.
  • We are unafraid to positively advocate for the change we want to see, bringing our team along with us.

Approachable

  • We act with kindness and respect, always aiming to bring out the best in ourselves and each other.

Motivating

  • We commit to professional development and continuous learning to ensure that we remain an ambitious, bold NGO that’s equipped to try new things.
